RES 24-386 3/6/2024 10:28 PMJohn Slade  For Thank you for taking this principled stance! +3
3/6/2024 5:51 PMEric H. Galatz Against I am absolutely against any resolution of any kind concerning the war in Gaza or any other matter outside the scope of your authority to represent the citizens of St. Paul on municipal matters. None of you ran on and no one voted on your foreign policy competence or positions. By law and moral authority you act for all of us when you act on municipal matters from tree trimming to housing the homeless, whether we voted for you, or voted at all, and whether or not we agree with you. To my knowledge, aside from your lack of authority, none of you have publicly solicited opinions from constituents or even announced your intention to consider a resolution. Please do not allow yourselves to be bullied into taking a position FOR THE CITIZENS OF ST. PAUL without their authorization. Make whatever statements you want to make on your own time AND IN YOUR OWN NAME. You betray all your constituents when you pretend to speak for all us on matters you have not even discussed with us. -1
